What seller reputation is and how it works on Ikiraro
What is reputation?
Reputation is how we measure the quality of service you provide as a seller on Ikiraro. It's dynamic and gets calculated as you complete sales. It reflects your commitment to buyers and determines how visible your listings are in the marketplace.
Unlike other marketplaces, on Ikiraro reputation is also tied to your verified identity (KYC) and the wallets you have linked. This ensures every transaction is traceable and trustworthy for the whole community.
How is it calculated?
To evaluate your performance, we analyze the number of sales affected by these factors:
- Claims opened by buyers
- Sales canceled by the seller after payment
- Shipments dispatched outside the preparation time you offer when listing
Color scale
Your reputation is shown as a color ranging from red (worst) to green (best). This scale is dynamic and can change daily based on your performance.
Red
Poor service. Affects your listings' visibility.
Orange
Below standard. Improve your metrics to move up.
Yellow
Acceptable performance. Keep improving to reach green.
Green
Excellent service. More exposure in the marketplace.
How do I get my first color?
If you're just starting on Ikiraro, you won't have a reputation until you complete your first 10 sales. During that period, your listings will still be visible, but without a color indicator. Once you reach 10 sales, the system will calculate your color automatically.
What period is measured?
The period we take into account depends on how many sales you've completed in the last 365 days:
- If you exceed 60 sales: we measure your reputation over the last 60 days.
- If you have fewer than 60 sales: we measure the full last 365 days.
- It updates daily, always counting backward from today.
Escrow and reputation
On Ikiraro, every sale uses escrow contracts to hold the funds until the buyer confirms receipt. If you don't confirm shipment within the agreed deadline, the transaction can lead to a claim that will affect your reputation. That's why it's key to manage your active escrow contracts on time.
Tips for keeping a good reputation
Confirm your shipments on time
Every escrow contract has a deadline. Confirm shipment before it expires to avoid automatic claims.
Describe your products well
A poorly described product is the main cause of claims. Include real photos, specifications, and exact condition.
Reply to messages quickly
Buyers value communication. A quick reply can keep a problem from escalating into a claim.
Complete your KYC verification
Verified sellers build more trust and get more visibility in Ikiraro's search results.
Always use your verified wallet
Make sure to operate with the wallets linked to your account. Transactions from unauthorized wallets can suspend your account.
Cases to keep in mind
When you sell, keep the following in mind:
- If you mark stock as available but can't ship, the delay affects your reputation.
- Auto parts sales include claims for incorrect compatibility.
- Accepted returns don't affect your reputation if you handle them within the deadline.
- An escrow contract in dispute temporarily freezes your ability to list new products.
