Your shipment, always visible inside the contract
Tracking lives inside the escrow contract
Every purchase on Ikiraro is linked to an escrow contract, and that contract is also where shipment tracking is centralized. The seller enters the tracking code from their chosen carrier, and from that moment you can see the updated status without having to hunt for the link somewhere else.
The statuses you'll see
Pending shipment
The seller has already confirmed your payment in escrow and has a deadline to ship.
In transit
The package has shipped and the tracking code is active. You can follow every carrier update.
Delivered
The carrier marked it as delivered. From here, it's up to you to confirm receipt.
Released
You confirmed receipt and the contract released the payment to the seller. The transaction is closed.
What to do if the shipment isn't moving
Every contract has a deadline for the seller to confirm dispatch. If that deadline passes with no updates, the transaction can escalate to a formal claim without you having to chase the seller on your own: the contract already has rules defined for that scenario.
Why not to confirm too early
- Confirming receipt releases the payment immediately: only do it once you actually have the product in hand.
- Check the condition and contents before confirming, especially on higher-value purchases.
- If something arrived wrong or didn't arrive, open a claim before confirming: once the payment is released, the contract closes.
